Privacy Policy

Who we are

Valtrun Global Inc. ("Valtrun," "we," "us") is a technology consulting company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to handle your information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • Contact form details — your name, email address, and message. If you choose to include a phone number or company name, we collect that too.
  • Interactive demo input — anything you type into our interactive demos (for example, the document text and questions you enter in the "Ask the Handbook" demo) is sent to our AI provider to generate a response.
  • Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends (such as your IP address), used for security and to prevent abuse of our forms and demos.

Why we collect it

We use your contact details to reply to your enquiry, scope work, and stay in touch about your project. We use demo input only to generate the demo's response and to keep the demo running fairly for everyone. We use technical data to keep the site secure.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Third parties we work with

To run our site and services, we share limited information with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — which store the data needed to serve and secure the site.
  • Email and communication providers — which deliver contact-form submissions to our inbox.
  • AI provider — our interactive demos (such as Ask the Handbook) send the text you submit to Anthropic (the Claude API) to generate a response. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. If our primary provider is temporarily unavailable, a request may be routed through a fallback service (OpenRouter) to an alternative model; we recommend not submitting sensitive information into any demo.

These providers may process data outside Canada. We share only what is necessary for these services to function, and we do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to respond and maintain our business relationship, after which we delete or anonymize them. Demo input is processed in real time and is not used to build a long-term profile of you; short-lived technical logs used to prevent abuse are kept only briefly.

Accessing or deleting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email us at info@valtrun.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Consent and your email (CASL)

When you submit our contact form, you consent to us replying to your enquiry by email. If we later send you marketing or promotional email, every message will include a clear way to unsubscribe, in keeping with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
